Stainless Steel Weld Studs are created to DIN 32501 standard and are designed for welding to thin gauge sheet metal. They are also known as Threaded Capacitor Discharge Studs. Hosting cold-formed pips at the end of the studs, they are applied using a welding gun, with the ignition tips at the base of the stud creating an arc which melts the base of the stud and the fixing surface, creating an instant fusion weld.
