Definition of common mode inductors   Common mode inductor, also known as common mode choke, is a common mode interference suppression device with ferrite and amorphous core. It has two coils of the same size and the same number of turns symmetrically wound on the magnetic core to form a four-port device. The ideal common-mode inductor can only inhibit the common-mode interference, and has no attenuation and inhibition on the differential mode signal. In fact, because of the incomplete symmetry of coil winding, the differential mode leakage inductor can inhibit the differential mode signal to some extent. Because the common mode choke can achieve very large common mode inductance value on the small structure of the magnetic core, it is widely used in EMI filters, it has a very important role in suppressing conducted EMI noise, common mode inductance is widely used in switching power supply input L, N line and high-speed differential signal common mode interference suppression.…
