Helical Gear Electromagnetic Brake Motor Working Principle
The working principle of helical tooth electromagnetic brake motor is mainly based on the combination of electromagnetic force and mechanical braking. When the three phase DC motor is energised, the electromagnetic braking coil generates a magnetic field that adsorbs the brake pads, separating the pads from the brake discs, and the motor can run freely; when the motor is de-energised or needs to be braked, the coil loses its magnetic field, the spring pushes the brake pads to fit tightly with the discs, and the friction stops the motor shaft from rotating rapidly, thus realising the braking function. This kind of motor is widely used in mechanical equipments that need high precision positioning and fast braking, such as industrial robots and automated production lines.
Usually, geared motors are suitable for electric tricycle motor, motorbike motors, lawnmower motors, etc., which have a wide range of applications.
