Hexafluoroisopropanol CAS:920-66-1 Used in Medicine Pesticides, Aerospace ,Electronics
Product introduction
Hexafluoroisopropyl alcohol (HFIP) is a thick, colourless liquid with a pungent smell. It is an ideal solvent for dissolving polyamides and esters and can be used to analyze nylon. Usually, a small amount of sodium trifluoroacetate can be added to the eluent to reduce sample aggregation. Although HFIPs have a certain viscosity, they have a low boiling point and are usually analyzed at 40°C Chemicalbook to reduce column back pressure. Hexafluoroisopropyl alcohol is also a highly polar solvent, which makes the correction curve obtained from the mixed bed column nonlinear. Agilent has therefore developed a special column for this solvent, the PLHFIPgel column, which has a porous structure independent of the solvent.
